3Hive @36 is a three-bedroom detached house, the home is newly decorated and furnished to a high standard.
3Hive @36 is a three-bedroom detached house, the home is newly decorated and furnished to a high standard. Our young people will be encouraged to have further input into personalising their home, so that they are supported in gaining a sense of belonging and feel at home in their surroundings. The home has comfortable communal areas and is conveniently situated close to the local community which offers access to local amenities and a wide range of facilities.
3Hive @36 has an occupancy of 3 young people of either sex aged between 16 and 18 years old. In some circumstances we can provide accommodation for young people up until their 19th Birthday. For example, a young person may not be ready to leave prior to completing the plan in place, alternative placement has been delayed, there is a desire to complete their education course. We will ensure the necessary approval has been obtained to extend the placement.
The home is fully staffed over 24 hours and management on call system to facilitate advice or rapid response as required. The home has dedicated, trained, experienced and suitably qualified team to care and support our young people to live a fulfilling life. The home will always provide sleep in staff, wake in night is available to support the young people should they require this.
Understanding that our young people may have differing backgrounds and experiences, careful consideration has been given to ensure that 3Hive is a safe comfortable well equipped and enjoyable space for all our young people.
The home offers an individualised approach to care and support which allows the team to work systematically and collaboratively with the network around the young person.
We work closely with families, Local Authorities and multi agencies involved in the care of the young person. We work together to set goals to provide the support each young person deserves to reach their full potential at a pace that suits them.
The Layout of the Home:
Ground Floor:
Entrance Hall, Communal Room/Meeting Room fitted with a TV and sofa, Kitchen with a dining table and sofa’s leading to the garden area. The staff office is situated on the ground floor.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Bedroom 3 are all fitted with wardrobes and a double bed, Bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, and toilet, there is also a separate toilet with basin.
Each young person’s room has space for them to study in privacy and the comfort of their own bedroom.
Communal Area:
The communal areas are on the ground floor with a lounge equipped with a relaxing sofa and tv, newly fitted kitchen and dining area leading to double doors through to the garden area where we have a hammock, table, and chairs to meet and chat.
Our young people have access to our homes Wi-fi connection, this is risk assessed on an individual basis for their educational and leisure purposes.
Our Home offers a warm nurturing environment for all, where the welfare and safety of our young people is paramount. @36 can accommodate 3 young people, in each room our young people are provided with a double bed, wardrobe, a desk to study from. The rooms are furnished of a high standard and will be decorated to each young person’s interests and preferences.
On arrival our young people are provided with a new mattress, new bedding, towels and toiletries which remain theirs for their 3Hive journey and beyond. We also provide a lockable box for each bedroom and a journal for them to use as they see fit.
