3Hive @109 is a three-bedroom detached house. The home is newly decorated and furnished to a high standard.
3Hive @109 is a nurturing and supportive environment for young people to walk into. Our young people will be encouraged to have input into the personalisation of their home, so they feel comfortable in their new environment. @109 is located in a great area, giving young people access to a wide range of amenities, right on
their doorstep.
3Hive @109 has an occupancy of 3 young people of any gender aged between 16 and 18 years old. In some circumstances we can provide accommodation for young people up until their 19th Birthday. For example, a young person may not be ready to leave prior to completing the plan in place, alternative placement has been delayed or there is a desire to complete their education course. If this is the case, we will ensure the necessary approval has been obtained to extend the placement.
The home is fully staffed over 24 hours and there is a management on call system to facilitate advice or rapid response as required. The home has a dedicated, trained, experienced and suitably qualified team to care for and support our young people to live a fulfilling life. The home will always provide sleep in supporting adults, wake in night is also available to support the young people should they require this.
All our homes are tailored to the young people living in them. As we know, all young people have different backgrounds and require different needs, therefore we encourage an environment based around therapeutic support to allow our young people to flourish in all aspects.
We work closely with families, Local Authorities and multi agencies involved in the care of the young person. We do this together to set goals to provide the support each young person deserves to reach their full potential at a pace that suits them.
Understanding that our young people may have differing backgrounds and experiences, careful consideration has been given to ensure that 3Hive is a safe comfortable well equipped and enjoyable space for all our young people.
The Layout of the Home:
Ground Floor:
Entrance room, Communal room/meeting room fitted with a TV, sofa and a PlayStation, a downstairs toilet, kitchen with a dining table and other amenities plus access to the back garden. The supporting adults’ room is also situated on the ground floor.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3 are all fitted with a wardrobe and a double bed. The Bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, and a toilet.
Each young person’s room has space for them to study in privacy and the comfort of their own bedroom.
Communal Area:
The communal areas are located on the ground floor with a lounge fitted with a relaxing sofa, Tv and a PlayStation. There is a newly fitted kitchen which provides access to the back garden where there is garden furniture to meet and chat.
Our young people have access to our homes Wi-fi connection, this is risk assessed on an individual basis for their educational and leisure purposes.
Our Home offers a warm nurturing environment for all, where the welfare and safety of our young people is paramount.
On arrival our young people are provided with a new mattress, new bedding, towels and toiletries which remain theirs for their 3Hive journey and beyond. We also provide a lockable box for each bedroom and a journal for them to use as they see fit.
